Schievenin Valley · Monte Grappa Massif

La Falesia

A holiday home of wood and stone, in the Schievenin Valley.

A quiet retreat where time slows down: bare stone, warm wood and the valley's rock faces just steps from the door.

The atmosphere

Here, silence has a sound

La Falesia is a simple, rustic home for those seeking quiet and nature. Stone walls, exposed beams and the warmth of the stove speak of an old way of living in the mountains. Outside, the woods and rock faces of the Schievenin valley; inside, everything you need to slow down.

Climbing

A vertical valley

Schievenin is one of Veneto's most historic climbing valleys, climbed since the 1960s: over 500 routes across more than fifty sectors, graded from III to 8b.

Slabs, overhangs and roofs of grey limestone, often just steps from the car and shaded by the woods: you can climb all year round, with spring and autumn the finest seasons.

The spring

Where the water is born

The Tegorzo stream runs through the valley and keeps it cool even in summer. Not far away, at the foot of Sasso delle Capre, water pours from a fissure in the rock some twenty metres long: the karst spring of the Tegorzo.

From here, since the early 1930s, the Schievenin aqueduct has carried drinking water far beyond the valley: once to eighteen towns of the Treviso province, today to the Grappa, Asolo and Montello areas.
